Every utility that comes into your home from underground, water, sewer, electrical, and fiber, lives in a trench that somebody had to cut through San Diego soil to lay. When it is time to replace a sewer line, run power to an ADU, or trench for drainage, Dirt Wurx SD cuts trenches straight, to depth, and ready for the inspector.
Trenching looks simple until it is not. The depth and bedding requirements for each utility are set by code, and a trench that is off on either one means doing it twice. We start with utility locating so nothing gets hit, then cut to the specified depth and width for the line being installed, whether that is 3-inch conduit for a power feed or a water line with sand bedding. Tracer wire and warning tape go in where they belong, and the backfill is compacted in lifts so the trench does not settle into a dip in your yard a year later.
We trench for the full range of residential and light commercial utility work:
Every trenching job starts with locating existing utilities and marking the path. We cut, lay, and backfill to code depth and compaction, and we keep the spoils tidy while the trench is open so your yard is not a construction site for a day longer than it needs to be. An owner is on every job, and the same crew that cuts the trench restores the surface. Licensed and insured in California, license #967559.
